What does a "Retained" Search offer the Candidate?

Conway & Greenwood manages its retained search assignments on an exclusive basis, and as a candidate the benefits to you are significant: 

  • As the only authorized representative of the company for the search, we offer a complete review of the opportunity, with a position description, detailing the company, the position, hiring manager, and other pertinent information for your review.

  • We become your advocate and representative as a professional third party who is well-versed in your skills and experience, working directly with the hiring manager, or board of directors, as applicable.

  • Our extensive network of senior level contacts is leveraged on your behalf.

  • Associating with a retained search firm is regarded as the best way to conduct your search. 

What services can I expect from Conway & Greenwood?

  • As we work with our candidate client on a particular search, we will help him/her tailor a resume to best highlight the necessary attributes for the targeted audience. 

  • Conway & Greenwood will discuss compensation requirements and geographic preferences early in the search process, so as not to waste your time on opportunities that do not meet your criteria.

  • We manage the interview process, and require that the company keeps the timetable progressing, and we will offer constructive and frank feedback.

  • When Conway & Greenwood presents the firm offer of employment to you, we will have already reviewed your expectations with the hiring manager, so typically, we will structure the components accordingly. 

  • If any counter offers are needed, Conway & Greenwood properly conveys your concerns, and you can often more freely voice any discrepancies than if you were working directly with the hiring firm.

  • Conway & Greenwood will advise you through the resignation process to assure good relations are maintained.

  • We continue to serve as a liaison on relocation issues as needed.

  • We will stay in touch with you after you become a new and contributing executive, to ensure a positive transition.
